Karen's Story

With over thirty years of experience, Karen is an accomplished leadership facilitator, consultant and seasoned lecturer.  Using a diverse people-centered approach, Karen is highly effective at creating cultures within teams and organizations that are built on effective communication, integrity, mutual trust, respect and collaboration. Karen specializes in gender equality, diversity and inclusion and is passionate about conscious leadership which fosters value-driven organizations and empowers people to thrive. Karen has worked in countries all over the world, designing and delivering tailored programs to create lasting growth. 

With over thirty years of experience, Karen Diaz is an accomplished facilitator, trainer. lecturer and executive coach for organizational effectiveness, transformation and intercultural initiatives. Her passion is supporting people, teams and organizations to work together by creating a culture of effective communication, high trust, transparency, collaboration, and mutual respect. As a dynamic consultant and trainer, Karen has significant international experience working with senior government officials and private sector representatives in designing and delivering learning and development programs. Her facilitation style is engaging, creative and highly interactive, and her expertise is in gender equality, diversity and inclusion. She has designed over 1,000 training sessions across Canada, Central America, the Caribbean, India, Romania, Russia and Abu Dhabi.

Born in Trinidad and Tobago and raised in Montreal, Canada, Karen gained a Master’s degree in Education from McGill University and founded CKG Training & Consulting to leverage her international experience and support people, teams and organizations move from where they are now to their best version of what’s possible.    

Karen is passionate about creating high-performing inclusive cultures with interactive training programs and coaching strategies that promote lasting change. The focus is on conscious leadership, diversity & inclusion, and organizational development practices that support value-driven cultures and empower people to thrive.
